Man Arrested In PG County Suspect In Frederick Robbery

Police say suspect admitted to the robbery when interviewed by a  detective.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) A suspect in the robbery of a Prince George’s County pharmacy has been charged with a similar holdup in Frederick. Robert Ottinger Bottenfield, 30, of Gaithersburg, is charged with armed robbery, robbery and theft between $100 to under $1500. .

Frederick Police say on Saturday evening, June 16th, a man wearing camouflage fatigues and carrying a bag walked into the Walgreens on Opposumtown Pike. He approached the pharmacy counter, and demanded drugs; he also indicated he had a gun. The suspect was given several narcotics and left the store in red truck.

Greenbelt Police investigated a similar robbery at a CVS store the next day, and apprehended Bottenfield as a suspect.

Detective Greg Loftis with the Frederick Police  visited the Prince George’s County to interview Mr. Bottlenfiled,  who admitted robbing the Walgreens in Frederick.
