Police looking for the hit and run driver
Frederick, Md. (DG) – Police are looking for the driver of a car that hit a bicyclist last week in Frederick.
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the accident happened on August 9th at 11:15 AM in front of the Silver Lining Spa on Urbana Pike.
Police say the bicyclist was riding north on the southbound shoulder and was thrown from the bike into a wooden fence after they were struck by the car.
The bicyclist was treated at Frederick Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses say the striking car was black or dark-colored. The vehicle lost its passenger side mirror.
