Suspect Arrested In Home Invasion Robbery

Police say he is one of four who broke into a home last month.

 

Rockville, Md (KM) A Damascus man is charged in connection with a home invasion robbery last month in Darnestown. Montgomery County Police say Sheraz Shoukat Shah, 25, was take into custody at his home in the 28,400 block of Kemptown Road on Wednesday, and charged with home invasion, armed robbery, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Authorities say four men wearing masks entered a home in the 14, 600 block of Seneca Road on Saturday, October 27th at around 9:27 PM. One was armed with a handgun. The four confronted residents of the home, and demanded property. The man armed with the handgun struck an adult male resident in the head with the weapon.

The suspects obtained property and fled the home.

Detectives say Shah was developed as a suspect, and identified as the man with the handgun. He was arrested. .

Police say they have reason to believe this break-in was not a random act.
