Investigators looking for the vehicle involved in fatal hit and run
Emmitsburg, Md. (DG) – Maryland State Police are continuing their investigation of a fatal hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of a Thurmont man Saturday morning.
Police responded to the accident just after 7 AM on Rt 15 southbound at Old Frederick Road in Emmitsburg. The victim, 21-year-old Austin Lee Frushour, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to the medical examiner for an autopsy.
Police believe Frushour may have been walking along Rt.15 before being struck.
Investigators believe the victim may have been hit by a 2005 or 2006 Honda CR-V. The vehicle involved may have front end damage.
