Last week’s event was very successful.
FREDERICK, MD. (LG) During a drug take back event last week at the Walkersville Fire Department, Maryland State Troopers from the Frederick Barrack, were very successful in collecting unused prescription drugs. Authorities said they collected 367 pounds of unwanted medication from private citizens. In addition, over 6,000 syringes were turned in for disposal.
Once each quarter, in Frederick County, these events are held at different fire departments. The next drug take back event will be held on Saturday, September 28th, with assistance from the Middletown Volunteer Fire Company, #7.
