One Person Killed In I-70 Crash In Washington County

State Police continue to investigate.

 

Hagerstown, Md (KM) Maryland State Police in Washington County are investigating a fatal crash on Interstate 70 near Hagerstown.

Troopers say on Thursday morning, the driver of a Toyota Tacoma was traveling eastbound along I-70 in lane one near Sharpsburg Pike when the motorist tired to move into lane two. While changing lanes, the Tacoma struck a Toyota SUV. The driver of the Tacoma overcorreted, drove through the median and hit a dump truck head on.

The operator of the Tacoma was pronounced dead at the scene. That person’s name has not been released.

The crash closed both lanes of I-70 near Rt. 65 for investigation and cleanup.
