Frederick Police Department Accreditation Public Hearing

Accreditation public hearing to be held Monday

 

A team of assessors from by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc., (CALEA®) will arrive in Frederick for an on-site assessment as part of the Frederick Police Department’s re accreditation process. The assessors will examine all aspects of the Frederick Police Department, and will focus on areas such as policies and procedures, administration, operations and support services. Verification by the assessment team that the Frederick Police Department meets the Commission’s state-of-the-art standards is part of a voluntary process to gain re-accreditation – a highly prized recognition of law enforcement professional excellence.

As part of the on-site assessment, the public and agency employees are invited to offer comments regarding the Department’s compliance with commission standards at a public hearing. Monday November 18 at 6:00 p.m. Municipal Annex Conference Room C 140 W Patrick St., Frederick, MD 21701.
