Police Trying To Identify A Burglary Suspect

This individual robbed three fast food restaurants last month.

Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a burglary suspect.

Authorities says this individual is suspected of three break-ins of fast food restaurants between November 18th through the 29th. The establishments are located in the 1400 of West Patrick Street; the unit block of Willowdale Drive; and the 2000 block of Yellow Springs Road.

The suspect is described as an African-American male about 18 to 30 years of age. In a surveillance photo, he’s seen wearing a black face mask, black pants, black hooded sweatshirt and blue rubber-type gloves.

If you recognize this individual, you’re asked to contact the Frederick Police Department. You can remain anonymous. The non-Emergency Number is 301-600-2102; the Tip Line, 301-600-TIPS (8477); Tips can also be texted to 240-674-TIPS (8477)

If you own a business, Frederick Police have these safety tips.  One is to  invest in a video surveillance system with adequate storage. If your business has cash on site, install drop safes and signs that indicate there’s little cash in the business.  After closing, leave the cash drawer open showing there’s no money in the drawer. Third, make sure the business has adequate lighting and do hot have signs or posters cover your windows.  Having a clear sight line allows passing motorists to see any  suspicious activity inside the business.  And finally, put in an alarm system with silent and personal alarms.
