Make-A-Wish Foundation Mid-Atlantic Seeking More Volunteers

They will have a Hagerstown training on March 14.

Frederick, MD – The Make-A-Wish Foundation Mid-Atlantic is conducting a training in Hagerstown next month for anyone interested in volunteering with the organization.

Communication Manager for Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic Jen Brasdovich said the non-profit relies on volunteers to succeed in their mission of granting wishes for children with critical illnesses.

“Our mission would not be possible without these incredible volunteers,” Brasdovich said. “We are in critical need of volunteers throughout the state of Maryland right now, but particularly in the Western Maryland region.”:

Brasdovich said the volunteers are responsible for working with the family and child to determine the wish, coordinate a plan to make that wish come true and relay the plan to the Make-A-Wish office.

The next training session will be March 14 in the Hagerstown area.

Brasdovich said the Mid-Atlantic office is a local organization that relies on local volunteers and support.

“We serve hundreds of children in our every year,” Brasdovich said. “But every wish that we grant, we have at least one other child that is waiting for their wish to be granted.”
