New Visitors Policy In Effect At Frederick Health Hospital

FHH says only certain visitors will be allowed at the hospital.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Health Hospital has changed its visitor policies in light of the coronavirus emergency.

No visitors will be permitted at the hospital expect under certain circumstances. They include one visitor accompanying a patient experiencing an emergency; one parent or caregiver of child patient or a neonatal intensive care patient.; two visitors for patients at end-of-life; one visitor can accompany a patient to an ambulatory visit; and one visitor inclusive of a professional supportĀ  person or postpartum helper of a patient in the labor and deliver and postpartum units. .

Frederick Health Hospital says every approved visitor will undergo a screening for flu-like symptoms such as a fever, cough or shortness of breath. They will not be able to stay if they have these symptoms.

The hospital says these restrictions are designed to protect everyone’s health and safety. Loved-ones are encouraged to use electronic devices and apps to stay in contact with patients.
