In this business age of cutbacks and layoffs, companies will do just about anything to save a buck … whether it’s wildly inappropriate or not.
The Indian Airline GoAir says it can save about $500,000 a year by hiring a cabin crew made up of 30% men instead of 40%.
Their thinking is that men generally weigh more than women, so by cutting the extra bulk that comes with being a manly man, they’ll save a half million dollars.
Maybe next they should suggest the flight attendants work naked to save on the weight of pesky poly-cotton blends. (Times Of India)
