Amateur and professional photographers of all ages are invited to participate in the Historical Society of Frederick County’s second annual Byerly-Rothwell Photography Contest. The contest seeks to encourage individuals to discover local history through the camera’s lens. Possible subjects include, but are not limited to, historic structures, historical objects, places of historical significance, important events, notable individuals, and traditional activities. Cash prizes of up to $150 are awarded to the top three photos in four divisions: Adult-Amateur, Adult-Professional, Student-Primary, and Student-Secondary.
