Thomas Johnson High School Boys Cross Country coach Mike Hexter and runners and captains Jon Karczmarek and Lewis Levine (pictured above) talk about the rigors of long distance running. In fact you may see the TJ runners whipping through the streets of Frederick in the late afternoon. They won a title at the Brunswick Invitational early in the season and are still going strong and the state meet is still ahead. Coach Hexter talks about the unique way he got the job offer from Athletic Director Steve Nibbs. Karczmarek and Levine talk about their running careers at TJ and the team strategy they often use and why running through the woods in competition can bring some surprises.
