Parents have high expectations for their
newborn babies. And it appears now they are giving their offspring
names to match those expectations. Among the fastest-rising baby
names for American boys: King and Messiah. Other high-ranking names
include Major, which has risen the most on the Social Security
Administraton's annual list of popular baby names. Overall, Jacob
is again the most popular name for boys, while Sophia is the top
name for girls. Jacob has led the list now for 14 straight years,
while Sophia finished at the top for the second straight year.

It's happened again. There's been another mishap on a Carnival Cruise ship.
On Thursday, authorities were searching for two passengers believe to have gone overboard on a cruise ship off of Australia's east coast.
The pair wasn't discovered missing until the Carnival Spirit docked in Sydney, wrapping up a 10-night cruise. The 30-year-old man and 26-year-old woman were traveling with family and friends.
The ship's surveillance cameras captured the couple on deck and it's believed they went overboard from the boat's mid-deck level on Wednesday night, but it's not clear if they fell or jumped.
In a statement, Carnival said there was no evidence of foul play, but they declined to disclose the details about what actually happened to the couple, out of respect for the families.
This latest mishap follows a trio of episodes on Carnival ships. Last year, the Costa Concordia was shipwrecked in Italy, killing 32 people. Also in 2012, the Costa Allegra lost power in the Indian Ocean, leaving passengers without air conditioning or working toilets for three days.
Finally, in February, the Carnival Triumph lost power and had to be towed from the Gulf of Mexico to Mobile, Alabama.
