Mission of Mercy Chief Medical Director
Receives Outstanding Alumni Award
 
Mission of Mercy is thrilled to announce that our Chief Medical Director, Dr. Michael Sullivan, was awarded the Pius X High School Outstanding Alumni Award for 2012 in August.
 
This award was presented in appreciation of Dr. Sullivan as an outstanding representative of Pius X High School in Lincoln, NE, who continuously serves as an example of leadership and service to his family, friends, community and country.
 
Dr. Sullivan, a 1968 Pius X graduate, was born in Lincoln, NE in 1950. He attended Blessed Sacrament School through the 8th grade along with his two sisters. For two years, he pursued the discernment process for the priesthood at Our Lady of the Ozarks Minor Seminary in Carthage, MO. He returned to Pius X High School for his junior and senior years, and then earned a combined academic/athletic scholarship to Regis College in Denver, CO, where he graduated as valedictorian in 1972.
 
In 1993, Michael married Dr. Gianna Talone. Together, Michael and Gianna launched Mission of Mercy.

"Many of you know what my dad’s job is and realize that what he does is really great. But what many people don’t know is how much devotion, time, love, and prayer that he puts into his job. He really cares for all of his patients and loves them. Yes, my dad helps his patients with their medical needs, but he also does everything he can to help them emotionally and spiritually as well, whether that means telling a joke to put a smile on their faces or praying with them and for them. I think what my dad does, and especially the amount of love and care he has for his patients, is inspiring and I hope I can be like him one day too. Congratulations dad!"   -Anne Marie Sullivan, 16
