I imagine that you are feeling a LOT like me, wondering what just happened and, more importantly, WHY?  The link below is to an article that was posted on our old church's website. The church has become a full "house church" without any permanent facilities. The post is a letter from house church members in Germany sharing their insights on the election. It hit home powerfully with me and gave me a new and better perspective on the whole mess.

Could get interesting in the next few years and my sense is that the Church needs to move in the direction described in the post if we are to serve any purpose at all. I'm as (or more) guilty than anyone of making an idol out of my distaste for the Obama administration and my absolute conviction that I was right about what needed to happen last Tuesday. Time to let God drive for a while, I keep running the bus off a cliff every time I take the wheel.
