We've received more entries in our 2013 Inauguration Contest than we ever expected – so we've decided to pick one additional winner to bring to Washington, DC the weekend of President Obama's inauguration!
Officials are predicting crowds of up to 800,000, making this year's Inauguration one of the most sought-after events in decades – we think you deserve a chance to be there for it.
A crowd of 800,000 would make this and President Obama's 2009 swearing-in the two most heavily attended inaugurations in history. A crowd that size would also be ten times bigger than the largest Tea Party rally ever.
Maybe that's why demand for our Inauguration Contest has been so overwhelming: every Democrat in America will want to be in Washington, DC on January 21st because this is the last chance any of us will ever have to see President Obama take the oath of office.
Megan Hannigan - Finance Director
The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee
P.S. The prize package for this extended contest is still as exciting as ever! It includes round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations near Washington, DC, tickets to an inaugural gala, and you'll be here with plenty of time to attend the inauguration and explore our nation's capitol.
NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR CONTRIBUTION NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Contributing will not improve changes of winning. Void where prohibited by law. Entries must be received by January 13, 2013. One (1) winner will receive two (2) round-trip coach-class airplane tickets from a major airport closest to winner's address within the continental United States, hotel accommodations, and two (2) tickets to one of the Inaugural Balls (as defined in the Official Rules). Odds of winning depend on number and quality of eligible entries received. All valid entries for the previous "Inauguration 2013" promotion shall be considered entries for this promotion as well. Winner chosen by a random drawing, subject to a background check. All prizes will be awarded. All federal, state and local taxes associated with the receipt or use of any prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. All decisions of Sponsor are final. Promotion open only to U.S. citizens, or lawful permanent U.S. residents who are legal residents of the United States or Puerto Rico and 18 or older (or of majority under applicable law). CONTEST SUBJECT TO OFFICIAL RULES and additional restrictions on eligibility, available at www.dlcc.org/Inauguration_Rules_2. To enter the contest without contributing, please visit www.dlcc.org/Inauguration2. Sponsor is the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, 1401 K Street NW, Suite 201, Washington, D.C. 20005.
