Virginia Republicans are responsible for two of the most extreme efforts at election-rigging in recent memory – their unconstitutional mid-decade gerrymander, and their now-defunct bill to rig the Electoral College in favor of Republicans.

But now Republicans across the country are joining Virginia's scheme to steal the presidency.

Pennsylvania Republicans are next in line to try to rig the Electoral College, and the GOP’s most infamous voter suppression practitioner – former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell – is launching a national campaign to impose identical legislation on other Democratic-leaning states.

We need your help today to fight back against this GOP election-rigging scheme - please sign our petition demanding an end to Republican efforts to gerrymander the Electoral College!

It’s hard to overstate how serious a threat this is to our ability to elect presidents fairly and democratically.

The New York Times’ Nate Silver notes that if the Republican vote-rigging scheme had been in place in all six states where RNC Chairman Reince Priebus is pushing to impose it, Mitt Romney would be President right now – despite losing nationwide by almost 5 million votes.

If Ken Blackwell and Republicans manage to impose their scheme in enough key states, they could make it practically impossible to elect a Democratic President.
