Chancellor Emeritus Ric Cannada, with the encouragement and endorsement of Chancellor Mike Milton, has agreed to represent RTS and serve as a part-time consultant with a group in Indonesia seeking to reach that country in a variety of ways with the gospel of Christ. As part of the agreement, Ric and Rachel Cannada will spend two months in Indonesia each year, including their next trip from Feb. 19 - March 27. The group in Indonesia has a goal of over 1,000 Christian k-12 schools with a Reformed theology and worldview and a Reformed church developed in each of the schools. In addition, the group in Indonesia is developing 75 modern hospitals throughout that country and they want help to establish Christian hospital chaplain ministries in each of those hospitals. Troy is a lifelong Chicago sports fan, getting into the radio business initially in an effort to be closer to the teams he already followed so closely.
From intern to Program Director, part-timer to Sales Manager, Troy's career has run the gamut in a variety of cities including Chicago, Orlando, Syracuse, New York City, and Frederick.
In addition to a number of "behind the scenes" radio responsibilities, Troy has spent time behind the microphone in a variety of capacities: sports reporter, news anchor, disc jockey, commercial production, and talk show host.
Raised in a nominally Christian home, Troy recommitted himself to serving the object of his faith, Jesus Christ, as an adult. He and his family are members of Poolesville Baptist Church.
Not always sure of the answers, Troy loves asking questions in an attempt to get to the heart of a matter. He views the radio show as both a public service and a personal education.
He is very proud of the diversity of guests and subjects so far featured on the show. From Buddhist to Baha'i. Roman Catholic to Eastern Orthodox. Atheist to Agnostic. Mormon to Muslim. Unitarian to Jewish. Charismatic to Presbyterian. Esoteric New Age Psychology to Conservative Fundamentalism.
