"Sequester cuts already hurting small businesses"

Before the sequester officially starts tomorrow – before airport control towers start shutting down and construction projects grind to a halt – let’s remember why this is happening in the first place:
The sequester was created because without it, Republicans threatened to destroy the world economy by forcing America into default.
This constant Republican cycle of hostage-taking and manufactured crisis has been a disaster for our economy, and it needs to end.
Long before their crazy sequester idea, Republicans threatened to shut down the entire government unless PBS was defunded. Then they threatened to hike everyone’s taxes by $2,000 unless the rich got another special giveaway.
Every time job growth starts gaining momentum, Republicans manufacture a new crisis that grinds progress to a halt.
Even if Republicans come to their senses before tomorrow, that’s far too late to let them off the hook over this sequestration debacle.
They’ve made it clear that the only way to stop the constant cycle of obstruction, crisis, and then more obstruction is to get rid of Republican legislators who follow that strategy.
