ABOUT THE SHOW
The Frederick Faith Debate is an open and honest forum for our local faith community leaders to share and discuss their views of the truth.
Thomas Jefferson once said, “The clash of ideas is the sound of freedom”. In that spirit, we seriously wrestle with important ideas… and are free to disagree with one another.
The hope is that through our wrestling we will develop a better understanding of the truth about the most important issues that face us in this world.
If you are a local faith community leader, or know one that would like to participate in a future roundtable, please contact Troy Skinner at the offices of WFMD. Also, if you have a topic you’d like to hear discussed or a question you'd like answered, please share that, as well.

FROM THE DESK OF AUSTIN RUSE April 24, 2013 Dear Friend of the Friday Fax, The head of a powerful UN agency used to demand that the Vatican shut us down. Forget that C-FAM is not a part of the Catholic Church. Why did she try for years to silence us? Because we are the uncompromising and quite vocal pro-life non-governmental voice at the UN. A pro-life group that will go unnamed just published a paper calling for "reproductive health." Needless to say, UN agencies have never tried to silence that group. But they do go after us. One UN agency actually attacked the Friday Fax on their homepage. One Ambassador from Norway attacked us in the European press. In its 15 years of existence, the Friday Fax has hung out the dirty laundry of pro-abortion radicals at the UN. In 15 years we have only ever missed one week of publication and that was during the attacks of 9-11. This week we will be almost alone among pro-life group watching and reporting on the Commission on Population and Development. In a few weeks we will be the only pro-life group at the pro-abortion conference Women Deliver in the Far East. What we do is vitally important in telling the world about what really goes on at the UN on life and family issues. UN radicals want to make abortion the law of the world. They want to redefine the family. They want to impose homosexual marriage on the world. C-FAM and the Friday Fax have been at the UN for 15 years and we, along with our very fine allies, have stopped them every step of the way. Now we need your help. The Friday Fax is supported by small donations from people all over the world. We are not supported by the UN, the Church or big foundations. We are supported from moms and dads in almost every country of the world. The Friday Fax is remarkably expensive to produce; small salaries, office space, printing/postage, the high cost of sending 20 million emails a year. It costs upwards of $200,000 to produce the Friday Fax each and every year. A few times a year I come to you asking for your help and I am asking you again. The economy has really hurt our fundraising. We are down across the board. I would hate to cut staff. I would hate to cut the number of stories we produce. But I need your help. There are many ways to give. Just click the donate button and you can give by totally secure server, by regular mail, by PayPal, even by wire transfer. Can you afford $1000? How about $500? Or $100? How about $50? All you can afford are your prayers? That is totally fine and most welcome. It would be a shame if the economy is able to do what powerful UN feminist was not able to do, that is, stifle the Friday Fax. If that happened a great beacon of truth would be doused. Don't let that happen. Give now, as much as you can. Yours sincerely, Austin Ruse |

Friday, March 8, 2013 8:00am Dear Friend, I apologize if I missed your response to my earlier message, but I need to make sure you saw my urgent pro-life note below. As I write this, the Church is under ongoing sometimes vicious attack at the United Nations and in the global media. A UN conference is taking place in New York and the Church is standing against abortion and radicals are coming after the Church because of it. It's time to defend the Church and the unborn child. We are redoubling our efforts to stop the attacks. C-FAM and Friday Fax personnel are inside the UN today and will be for the rest of the conference. They need your help. Will you stand with us? Christians all over the world need our help now to stop the abortion onslaught coming from radical feminists at the UN. So, if you agree that the Church needs our help. If you agree we must stop the abortion radicals in their tracks. If you agree young mothers around the world need our help follow this link to make an urgent, donation for life, faith and family. For Life, Austin Ruse |
