I tick off people from time to time, especially people who call themselves conservative. I make less than flattering comments about Rush, Sean, Mark Levin, Pastor Santorum (oops, there I go again), Professor Gingrich and CEO Romney and when I do, messages show up on facebook, or callers call in to take me to task. Sometimes it even seems to some people that I give liberals and progressives a pass and that I criticize "conservatives" more than Obama.

And you know what...you're right, I do. The question is, why? Well, I'm writing this post to explain why I won't stop this practice.

First, as you know, The Forgotten Men show is about truth, Inalienable Rights, the Rule of Law and principles; we're simply not about advancing raw governmental power over our fellow citizens, the two party system, the corrupt politicians nor the institutions or personalities that support them. We expect the progressives to be about this, if they've been anything over generations now, they've been clear that they intend to seize power at almost any cost to advance their agenda. I've got to give them credit, they act on their beliefs.

Now "conservatives" on the other hand cloak a similar desire to obtain raw political power over their fellow citizens, only they do it under the guise of supporting the Constitution; and this guise cannot nor will be overlooked on The Forgotten Men show. The blood that was shed in 1776 is simply too precious to allow this injustice to occur.

And this is why we get after so-called "conservatives" more than we do progressives on the show. The very ideology that should be the repository and protector of federalism, freedom and liberty via the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and little "r" republicanism turn their back on that responsibility. I know this, because I did for decades myself.

But I have seen the light! The blinders are off, and I stand squarely on principles and positions that simply cannot be defeated by "conservatism." There is no principled justification to support the likes of Rick Santorum, he's as anti-constitutional as Obama. The trouble is, most conservatives don't even know that because most people don't have a clue about the very document they purport to support. If I've hurt some of your feelings, so be it. Sometimes the truth hurts.

Many "conservatives" support the Incorporation Doctrine, most don't know it though because they have no idea what the Incorporation Doctrine is.

Now, let me push the pause button on my rant here for a moment otherwise, Joshua will have to clarify this entire post! There are many many listeners who tune in because they've heard about the "unique" positions we take on the show. We've gotten many calls and messages from people who tell us that they simply didn't know and are going to change their thinking about the national government and join Team Liberty...we love those messages and they inspire us to continue.

However, there's another group, I suppose you could call them republican operatives or groupies of a sort (by the way, if that's you reading this post...it's very unbecoming to be a groupie) who claim they believe and support the Constitution, maybe even carry one around, but haven't a clue what the Constitution was created to do. This group actually contributes to the tyranny occurring in Washington DC. They're part of the Tea Party, or maybe even members of a Tea Party Caucus in a State Legislature. These groups, folks are dangerous to liberty, they misuse the very document that was created to protect liberty...not take it away.

So, if you're this type of "conservative," you're not going to like our show very much...we will point out the guise every chance we are able to. If, however, you're that part of "conservative" that is really trying to understand these principles of liberty, please do not take offense when I tear into supposed "conservatives" whether the ones on-air, in politics, or even in our communities. What we're really trying to do is draw you away from the status quo blather coming from the politicla elite, politicians or talk radio and to The Forgotten Men show, Mike Church show, The Tenth Amendment Center and others.

We need you to join Team Liberty and cast off your allegiance to the status quo of so-called "conservatives." Will you?
