Man Charged With Attempted 1st-Degree Murder

He's accused of shooting at his wife & her mother while they lay in their beds.

 

A Hagerstown man is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder and other offenses for firing shots at his wife and her mother while they laid in bed.   The Washington County Sheriff's Office says Jaime Hiler Wainwright, 37, was arrested in Westminster.

The incident happened on Thursday night in the 10106 Saint George Circle in Hagerstown.

In addition to the attempted first-degree murder offense, Wainwright is also charged with two counts each of attempted second-degree murder and second-degree assault, as well as one count each of the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and/or crime of violence, and wearing a handgun, transporting a handgun in a vehicle, illegal possession of a regulated firearm and possession of a firearm with a felony conviction.
