Juvenile Charged In Shooting Incident

Frederick Police have arrested a juvenile in connection with a shooting incident Wednesday night. Thomas James Hamm, 16, of Frederick is charged as an adult with one count each of attempted 2nd-degree murder and 1st-degree assault, along with a handgun offense.

Hamm was apprehended in the 100 block of West Patrick Street without incident.

Wednesday evening, police were called to the 1100 block of Key Parkway for shots fired. Officers arriving at the scene discovered a man had been shot in the arm. He was taken to Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, where he was treated and released.
