Festivities will include testimonies, children's activities and plenty of food and music.
In recognition of September being National Recovery Month, the Frederick County Health Department, along with other community organizations, will be sponsoring a rally, at the Carroll Creek Urban Park, on September 15th. "This is to reach out to the recovery community. We want to educate the public about all the resources that are available to the Frederick community about alcohol and drug abuse," said Santita Prather, program specialist, FCHD. "It's to let the public know that recovery from alcohol and drug abuse is working for thousands of individuals right here in Frederick," Prather added.
'Rally for Recovery' festivities will include a proclamation by public officials, testimonies from individuals in recovery, informational tables, children's activities, music and more. "It starts at 12 noon, and will continue until 5:00 p.m., at the park across from the C. Burr Artz Library," said Prather.
