Four jars of marijuana, drug packaging material and scales were confiscated by Carroll County Sheriff's Deputies early Sunday morning, and an Eldersburg man was arrested. Patrick Ritchie, 20, is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug packaging material.

Authorities say they responded to West Hemlock drive in Eldersburg Sunday morning around 12:40 for a disorderly individual knocking on another person's door. He left when deputies arrived.

Authorities say they found the man getting out of his vehicle on East Hemlock Drive.   A search of Ritchie's car netted the jars of pot and drug paraphernalia.

He was taken to Central Booking where he was held on $7500 bond.
