Pedestrian Struck By Motor Vehicle In Stable Condition

It happened Friday morning around 5:30 a.m., on Kemptown Church Road, in Monrovia.

One person is in serious condition after a personal injury crash that involved a pedestrian and a motor vehicle.

The Frederick County Sheriff's Office said it happened around 5:30 a.m. Friday morning, in the 3400 block of Kemptown Church Road, in Monrovia. Authorities said Misael Hernandez, 30, of Mount Airy, was collecting trash in the area for B&B Trash Service, when he was struck by a Dodge pickup truck.  He  was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where he's in stable condition. 

Witnesses say the truck operated by Aaron Walker, 20, of Damascus, skidded off the roadway, and went through some lawns before hitting Hernandez.    Walker and the passengers in his vehicle were not hurt.

An investigation is underway and anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to call 301-600-6490.
