Drawing will be held Saturday.
Saturday’s Powerball jackpot is now up to $214 million dollars with a $143 million cash value. The jackpot has been "rolling" since October 6, 2012 after a Delaware winner took home $50 million on October 3, 2012.
It’s been almost a year since the state of Maryland has seen a Powerball jackpot winner. Last Christmas Eve, a Cecil county couple claimed a $128.8 million jackpot, the second-largest jackpot ticket ever sold in Maryland (Mega Millions still holds the title for largest jackpot). The first ever Powerball jackpot win in Maryland was claimed by an Abingdon couple for $108.8 million in September 2011.
Drawings can be seen on Wednesday and Saturday evenings at 11:22 p.m. on WBAL-TV, Channel 11. The drawings are later rebroadcast on Maryland Public Television. Powerball is currently played in 44 states and jurisdictions.
