Local Police Conduct Saturation Patrol

Their focus was to reduce the amount of accidents and make the roadways safer.

Maryland State Police in Frederick conducted a DUI saturation patrol on the I-70/I-270/Route 15 corridor of Frederick County on New Years Eve into the early morning hours on New Years Day in order to curtail impaired drivers.

Their focus was to reduce the amount of accidents and make the roadways safer.

Troopers stopped 35 vehicles and handed out 6 citations and 29 warnings.

One person was arrested for driving under the influence. One person was charged with possession of marijuana and another was taken into custody for being a fugitive from the state of Georgia for breaking and entering.
