Frederick Man Charged With Fraud

Police say he was trying to get a driver's license using a phony Social Security card.

 

A Frederick man was arrested  for allegedly trying to obtain a driver's license using a fraudulent Social Security card.

Police say they responded to the Motor Vehicle Administration at Bowman Farm Road on Tuesday, Jan. 8th at 10:32 AM for a complaint about a fraud. An officer made contact with MVA employees, who advised that an individual was trying to obtain a driver's license using a bogus Social Security card. The cop obtained the card and determined that it was fraudulent.

Jose Pablo Lopez, 28, was taken into custody, and charged with possessing a fraudulently altered Government Identification card. He was taken to Central Booking.
