Just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday night, the Frederick Police Department's Drug Enforcement Unit received information on the where-abouts of a man wanted in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Officers tried to pull over the car where the suspect, Ryan Ritter, was in on Hillcrest Drive but the car fled from police. The driver and passenger in the vehicle tried to out run officers in the area of Hill Street Stake Park but the passenger was caught. Soon after, officers found Ritter at a nearby residence where police set up around the perimeter of the home and arrested him. The Maryland State Police Aviation Division also assisted in the search for Ritter.

He was found with cocaine and charged with possession with the intent to distribute, flee and eluding in a vehicle and on foot and numerous traffic violations.
