The legislature set to tackle a wide range of issues.
Local lawmakers are ready to kick things into high gear in Annapolis. Frederick County Delegate Michael Hough says during this General Assembly Session he has a lot of work ahead of him. "I have two pieces of legislation dealing with unemployment insurance. One of the big issues I heard during the election from small business owners was the problems they had with high rates of unemployment insurance that they were paying," said Hough. He says he will also be working on legislation to reform the criminal justice system. "As it relates to mental health issues."
The 2013 Session of the Maryland General Assembly was called to order on Wednesday, January 9th. During the 90 days ahead, the legislature is set to tackle a wide range of issues important to residents in the 6th District and all of Maryland.
