Officers from arround the country, including Frederick City, will help with security during the Presidential parade.
As in past years, the Frederick City Police Department has sent a group of officers to join the security detail for the Inagural Parade being held in Washington, D.C.. The officers will be stationed as a group along the parade route on Pennsylvania Avenue to prevent unauthorized people from gaining access. FCPD is one of many agencies from across the country assisting Metro Police and Federal Agencies handling security duties at different spots along the parade route.
Ater the parade, the officers will remain on standby in case they are needed elsewhere in the city.
It was one month ago that Frederick City Police Chief Kim Dyne resigned from the city police force to accept the role of chief of the Capital Hill Police in DC.
