Attempted Robbery Reported At Hagerstown Supermarket

The suspect demanded medication.

Hagerstown police were searching for a man who demanded medication from the Weis pharmacy at 12817 Shank Farm Way.

Sgt. David Long said the man entered the supermarket at about 1 p.m. Monday and told the pharmacists to give him drugs.

Long said the man left the store when the pharmacists refused, and was believed to flee the parking lot in a white van.

Police were searching for the man in an apartment complex behind the supermarket.
