A 22 year old man is charged with numerous offenses.

A Westminster man has been charged for a stabbing which occurred Saturday evening in Westminster.

Joshua Matthew Johnson, 22, has been charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, said Westminster City Police, Capt. Pete D’Antuono.

Johnson allegedly stabbed Kevin Colson, 39, around 10:30 p.m. on the street of the unit block of Carroll Street, according to Lt. Pat Bassler in a previous report.

Colson drove himself to the Westminster Fire Department to seek aid for his injuries, said D’Antuono.

Colson, of Finksburg, was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and remains in critical condition as of 8:30 p.m., according to Frank Moorman, a representative from the hospital.

D’Antuono said as of Sunday afternoon, Colson had intubation tubes which made it difficult to speak, but is communicating with police officers about the incident through written notes. Colson was stabbed in an alleged domestic-related altercation between himself and Johnson, D’Antuono said.

Bail has not yet been set for Johnson as of Sunday evening at 6 p.m.
