A Frederick man has been arrested in connection with a hit and run accident on Monday morning. Michael Charles Latimer, 28, is charged with driving without a license. He also faces various citations related to failing to stop and remain at the scene of a property damage accident.

Police say a woman driving in the area of Rosemont Avenue and Montevue Lane told officers  a white Acura struck her vehicle, and did not stop following the accident. She followed the vehicle while talking with police on the phone. The Acura was found in a parking lot at the Willowdale Crossing Apartments.

The victim told officers the driver was a light-skinned black male with blond hair. A man matching the description of the driver was located.

Authorities say Latimer did not have a driver's license and was placed under arrest.

No one was injured as a result of the hit and run.
