Authorities also confiscated large amounts of drugs.
One person was arrested, and large quantities of drugs were confiscated during a search and seizure operation in Mount Airy Thursday night. Timothy L. King, 41, is charged with possession of heroin, possession of crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
King was arrested by the Frederick County Narcotics Task Force at a home in the 4700 block of Old Mill Bottom Road. Officers were serving a search and seizure warrant following complaints about narcotics transactions taking place at that residence. Authorities also confiscated 17.4 grams of heroin, and drug paraphernalia.
They say king had 1.3 grams of heroin on his person, along with 8.8 grams of crack cocaine. The crack was packaged in 92 small baggies, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The contraband was seized as evidence and placed on property with the Sheriff's Office.
King was taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center's Central Booking Unit for processing.
