Frederick Police responded to a residential burglary in progress in the 100ne hundred block of Fairfield Drive early Saturday morning.

When officers arrived they observed a suspect, later identified as Marvin Lee Stanton, who lives in the 100 hundred block of Ashfield Court, in the backyard of the residence. He was immediately detained by police.

An investigation revealed that Stanton had broken a screen door and was attempting to break into the home through the back sliding glass door when officers arrived.
