A Frederick woman died Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in western Pennsylvania.
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Sarah Marie Graham, 21, was a passenger in a Ford sedan traveling northbound along Interstate 79 near Washington Township when the driver lost control of the vehicle. It struck a guardrail and was hit by a tractor trailer, which was also heading northbound.
Graham was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner tells the Post-Gazette that the cause of death was blunt force trauma, and the manner of death was accidental.
The driver was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital.
Both northbound lanes of I-79 and one southbound lane were closed for three hours for cleanup and investigation.
