Because of many reports of vandalism, destruction of property incidents and thefts from motor vehicles, the Frederick County Sheriff's Office conducted a preventive patrol assignment Thursday in the eastern portion of the county.

Deputies were sent to communities surrounding the Lake Linganore area. As a result a 23 year old resident of Brunswick was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia. A 21 year old from New Market was charged with drug offenses. A 23 year old resident of New Market was charged with driving on a suspended license, and a 26 year old from New Market was also charged with possession of marijuana.
