A Frederick County Grand Jury returned many drug indictments on Friday. "But they also returned an indictment that was filed in Circuit Court against Kundu Ali Hines and Michelle Marie Burroughs, both of Frederick. They were co-defendants in a 7-11 robbery back in January, at the store on South Jefferson Street," said Charlie Smith, Frederick County States Attorney. The two were caught after a store employee flagged down a city police officer. "He had went out front and indicated he had been robbed. He gave a description of who had robbed him, including a description of the car. So what the officer was able to do was locate the car and conducted a high risk traffic stop," said Smith. Inside the vehicle, the officer found a BB gun made to look like a real gun and drugs, authorities said. "The suspects were taken back to the 7-11 and the employee was able to say that both of them robbed him."
Kundu Ali Hines was taken to the Detention Center. "But Ms. Burroughs was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital after showing signs of impairment. After a stay in the hospital she was transported to the Detention Center and charged," continued Smith.
In an unrelated case, Timothy Beale Robinson was sentenced Thursday for sex abuse of a minor. "He plead guilty for inappropriate spanking and bathing of a young girl in his care. He didn't have a prior record. He got a 25 year sentence, with ten years that he has to serve. He is a Tier 3. He is 44 years old, so it's a pretty long sentence for him," said Smith.
Also indicted were Brandon Deon Muse, Timothy Lloyd King, Douglas Ford Bey, II, and Christopher M. Hurtt.
