The homicide occurred in Sept., 2012.
Two men have been charged in connection with a fatal shooting last year in Martinsburg, West Virginia. The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office says Reshaun Boyd of Hagerstown and Christopher Wyche of Jacksonsville, North Carolina are charged with the murder of Samson Edmund, 28, on September 16th, 2012.
The victim was originally from Mississippi, but was living in Hagerstown, Md at the time of the shooting.
Investigators say an altercation occurred in the parking lot of the Brickhouse Bar on Mid-Atlantic Parkway at around 2:55 AM on September 16th, where multiple shots were fired.
Edmund was transported to the City Hospital in Martinsburg where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities conducted interviews with witnesses at City Hospital, and based on information received, a lookout was broadcast.
Maryland State Police attempted to do a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle along Interstate 70 in Washington County. The driver did not stop, and a chase ensued. The pursuit ended, and troopers detained all five occupants of the vehicle.
Berkeley County Sheriff's Deputies responded to Maryland to interview the individuals. They say Boyd and Wyche were identified by their clothing descriptions as being involved in the shooting outside of the Brickhouse Bar. Gunshot residue test taken at the time also helped identify the two men as suspects.
The Sheriff's Office says Boyd is being held in Maryland, and Wyche is currently behind bars in North Carolina on separate charges. Detainers have been issued for both men in the respective states.
