Suspect Pleads Guilty To Robbing Four Banks Over A 5-Month Period

A laurel man on Friday pleaded guilty to robbing four banks in Maryland over a five-month period, including one in Frederick County.

Jeffrey Wayne Malcolm, 56, faces a maximum of 20-years in prison when he's sentenced on July 1st.

Malcolm was arrested last year for the robbery of the Sun Trust Bank on Fingerboard Road in Monrovia. Investigators also believe he robbed that same bank on January 25th, 2012.

According to his plea agreement, Malcolm also robbed banks in Laurel and Sykesville between October, 2011, and February, 2012.
