The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning from 8 PM tonight until 3 AM Thursday.  6-10 inches of snow are forecast for the Frederick area. 12 inches are more are forecast for areas to the west and southwest of Frederick.

As of Tuesday Evening March 5th 8:00PM, FCPS has made no decision about weather schools will open tomorrow on time or not. The decision will be made Wednesday morning March 6th. Check this web site tomorrow at 5:00 AM

Frederick Memorial Hospital is looking for volunteer drivers with 4-wheel drive vehicles to transport essential staff from their homes to the hospital in case the roads become too difficult to travel during the dredicted snowstorm If you would like to volunteer please call 240-566-3553

Frederick Mayor Randy Mc-Clement will implement the snow emergency plan in the city beginning at mid-night. That means citizens will not be allowed to park on snow emergency routes. They will be given two hours to move their vehicles. After that they will be towed at owners expense.

Frederick Community College has announced that they are closed on Wednesday March 6th due to the impending storm.

Hood College is cancelling classes tomorrow, Wednesday March 6th, due to the potential snow.

St. John the Evangelist is closing their church Wednesday. All activities are cancelled.

Due to the impending inclement weather, the Frederick County Sheriff's Office has cancelled fingerprinting services for tomorrow, Wednesday March 6th. Services will resume on March 13th, 2013.
