Wells Fargo recently donated $125,000 to the Frederick County Commissioners for improvements at Utica District Park. "We are grateful for this very generous donation from Wells Fargo," says Commissioners' President Blaine Young, in a statement. "We have found that state and federal funds are limited during current economic times, but our local businesses are stepping up to the plate to support programs and services in Frederick County."

"Wells Fargo is proud to sponsor improvements to the Frederick County park," says Andy Bertmini, Wells Fargo Regional President for Maryland, in a statement. "Our responsibility goes far beyond protecting our customers assets and helping them succeed financially. We're also responsible for promoting long time economic prosperity and quality of life for everyone in our local communities where our team members and customers live and work."

The park is located north of Frederick city at 10,200 B Old Frederick Road.

The County Parks and Recreation Division says there are a wide variety of recreational opportunities and other amenities on site. There are also some existing farm buildings which will be used for a future agricultural education center.
