One person has been charged in connection with the armed robbery of an auto repair business in Martinsburg, West Virginia.   Jimmy Lee Sims of Files Cross Road in Martinsburg was taken into custody on Friday afternoon, and charged with one count of aggravated assault.

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office says three men entered Jim's Auto Service on Winchester Avenue at around 6:14 AM Friday. They demanded money from the owner, who was also physicially assaulted. The trio left the business with a small amount of cash. The owner was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel.

Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene, and processed the business for evidence. They were able to link Sims to the armed robbery and assault.

Authorities say Sims was arrested later that day, and was arraigned at Berkeley County Magistrate Court. He posted bond and was released.

The other two men are still at large. Both are white males with dark clothing, and they were wearing bandannas that partially covered their faces.

Anyone who knows of their whereabouts is asked to contact the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office. They can speak with Sergeant B.F. Hall at 304-267-7000, or contact Berkeley County Crimesolvers at 304-267-4999.
