Two DUI Arrests Made In Carroll Co. During St. Pat's Weekend

Th arrests occurred at a checkpoint set up near Hampstead.

 

The Carroll County Sheriff's Office says two DUI arrests were made during the Saint Patrick's Day weekend. Authorities say a 42-year-old Hanover man was arrested on suspicion of alcohol impairment, and released to a sober driver after refusing a blood alcohol test. A 24-year-old Millers man was charged with possession of marijuana and associated paraphernalia. He was issued a citation and released at the scene.

The Sheriff's Office, Westminster Police, the State Highway Administration and Catherine's Cause set up a sobriety checkpoint from 11:00 PM on Saturday to 1:00 AM on Sunday in the 2200 block of Hanover Pike in Hampstead. 260 vehicles passed through the checkpoint that night, according to the Sheriff's Office.
