Investigators say the youth set some Pokemon cards on fire.

A 13-year-old male has been referred to the Maryland Department of Junvile Services on charges of malicious destruction of property, malicious burning in the 2nd-degree, and reckless endangerment. That's in connection with fires at two apartment units in Hagerstown on Sunday afternoon.

The State Fire Marshal's office says personnel from the Funkstown Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to the Woodbridge Apartments and the Apartment Gallery of Maryland just after 5:00 PM. Both are in the 11,500 block of Selema Drive.

A fire was discovered in the hallway at both units. Fire fighters quickly put them out. No one was injured.

Investigators say the youth burned some Pokemon cards at the two apartment units, causing damage to the carpets.

The teenager has been turned over to the custody of his parents.
