Police are seeing in more in the Whittier subdivision, in Frederick City.
There has been an increase in thefts from vehicles in the Whittier subdivision. That's according to Frederick Police who said in a press release that the perpetrators are gaining access to vehicles left unlocked.
Authorities say to prevent yourself from becoming a victim, lock your car doors and if you see anything suspicious to report it. And most importantly, police say remove all valuables from your vehicle or keep them out of sight. You also should park in a well lighted area if possible, and for those who can afford it, installing an alarm system can also help, the release said.
