While confined, the youth overdosed on his medication.
A 14-year-old boy was arrested following Tuesday's armed robbery of the Liberty Gas Station in Thurmont.
Police responded to the scene, and were told by the clerk that an individual displayed a knife and demanded money. Officers arrested the teenager in a nearby parking lot. The weapon was recovered and there were no injuries.
While confined, authorities say the youth made threats about harming himself and he overdosed on his medication. The kid was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital for evaluations.
He is charged with robbery, armed robbery and theft less than $100.
